my contribution

pre production -
  • audience research
  • equipment and props
  • co-created voice description
  • production schedule - however Michael also created one.
  • co created - script 1 and 2
  • created and completed storyboard
  • created mind map
  • completed research into movies and what i would like to include
production
  • camerman
  • discussed way around things
  • changed the room around (around 1 and a half hours to get it right)
post production
  • my evaluation
this is our first draft of our film. i was unable to be here for when we got feedbAck from a young audience, however my team completed this and told me what they said was good and what was bad.
Notably good points:
  • Camera Shots
  • Audience liked the extended takes
  • Lighting
Notably Bad Points:
  • Shaky camera for some shots
Potential Improvements:
  • Some shots are unnecessarily long (may change opinion when voiceover is added)
  • Some shots could cut straight to the action (door bang for example)
One thing that i have noticed is that on the credits i have been put down for lighting and will has been put down for cameraman which is the wrong way round. this has now been changed.

film noir - diary entry

Michael has taken control of the editing of our sequence as i have been unable to help. i have looked at the scene while i have been busy with the blogger helping see how problems can be solved. i was unable to help with the editing as i have been away on the trip missing a week of work. this made me do all the work before hand making me unable to do other things. i have now completed what i have needed to do. Michael has now completed the editing just waiting for the voice over to be returned from the actor. overall i believe we have many shots which allowed us to use what clips we wnat. we didn't want to have little amount of clips as we were scares of time and with having lots of clips we can shorten it to what we need.
